As We Cross The Rubicon: Poems 1 To 5
18 April, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
As we explore the palette of our mind
possibilities are endless and should be easy to find
when colour offers us a keen foresight
but most people only think in black and white!
--
Its very mobility gives us convenience and speed
in how to negotiate what we really need
although current technology has made us balk
at taking the time to sit down and talk!
--
Fluctuating temperatures make my girlfriend unique
when both of her extremities reach their peak
in a package so complete it bears this thought
to know she's cool but also totally hot!
--
After a brief dalliance with questionable taste
any paragon of reasoning was laid to waste
and a reputation once solid now is considered cheap.
You're only as good as the company you keep!
--
The starving vegetarian made a choice
when he decided to change his defiant voice
and as the last survivor he had to defend
that self-preservation may include your friend!
