Clues And Dissections: Poems 1 To 5

This infallible mystery is without a clue
as your inherent weakness sticks like glue
and there's nothing else one can do
when advertisers strike fear in you!

--

That nice Mr. Webster has a crush on you.
His exuberance in words is a clue
as he lays his dictionary at your feet
with a declaration of love that's not discreet!

--

Of this declaration known as art
we expound pretentiously from the start
with a stuffy insider's point of view
unaware that navy is another shade of blue!

--

They sense aggression in my will
so I leave this planet with a chill
and the social gesture in which I crave.
No one here has returned my wave!

--

I ran so fast I had to cry
but down the road you can't deny
the circle of life is a game we all play
and now I need you back sweet yesterday!
