Life Is Not Always A Dealer's Choice: 5 Poems

As you inure yourself against this fate
one thing is certain without any debate.
A third of one's life will rely on your spine
while gritting your teeth and waiting in line!

--

The inverted tragedy of this pratfall
makes you wish it never happened at all
as they had the nerve to laugh even more
when you were unable to rise from the floor!

--

They are no different from you and me.
Something that a coroner will always see
and just another cadaver as it would appear
when the rich and famous end up here!

--

Progress is imminent and it happens so fast
as the foundation for growth has been cast.
The human voice is the impetus to make technology last.
The future is not relevant without the past!

--

The moron moved up in dubious rank
and for that he had the imbecile to thank
leaving the poor idiot in the hapless role
of being the low man on the totem pole!
