As We Chart This Map Through New Terrain: 5 Poems
16 June, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
As an added burden to our thoughts
this emotional anchor calls all the shots
by weighing us down with worry and guilt
in dealing with the way our bodies are built!
--
By defying gravity if you dare
is more than anyone can possibly bear
and as Wendy reaches Neverland she must take care
by bringing a change of her underwear!
--
The mime broke his silence and began to stray
fom the self-imposed exile of yesterday
but expected verbiage was put on delay.
He is still an anomaly with nothing to say!
--
It's a brand new dance with the same old tune.
The 'Inertia' will not be happening soon
as you wait in yet another line
with stagnant disclosure and time to pine!
--
The heckling hyena sat in the back row
bellowing his disapproval throughout their show
by insisting the art of illusion was trickery instead
so the magician lost his nerve and the volunteer his head!
