These Burning Embers Of Our Mind: 5 Poems

The sky is cloudy instead of blue.
This climate is known to affect quite a few
when the weather changes without a clue
but love remains stable because of you!

--

The white rabbit in the hat made it clear.
He wasn't in the mood to suddenly appear.
The magician commiserated with his fear.
Both were intimidated by the heckler's jeer!

--

With rapid technology we should never deny
when the miracle of speed bolts right out of the sky
but such moments are fleeting if we don't try
to retain what was said between hello and goodbye!

--

American foreign policy planted seeds
to quickly eliminate any unnecessary weeds
and maintain a landscape until it grew
into the colors of the red, white and blue!

--

I broke back into prison today
and this time around I think I'll stay.
The outside world is no longer child's play.
My baby remarried so I made her pay!

and the mind...

is our worst enemy when love, fear, feelings in general and even politics are involved but how can one be detached and neutral with these burning embers of our mind?
