How To Deal With The Human Folly: 5 Poems
3 December, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
In this perilous distance between the ears
a cerebral safe haven disappears
as you sink and fall behind
with all that quicksand in your mind!
---
The very first hunt left early man terse.
To leave empty handed was a curse.
If he stopped his worrying it could get worse
but he couldn't stop worrying and it only got worse!
---
A third of your life you sleep away.
A third of your life you work for your pay
and a third of your life there's no other way
to escape from waiting day to day!
---
A little more understanding will get us by.
A little more patience and you can't deny
that a little more tolerance is the reason why
the possibility is there if we try!
---
A poor attitude just gets in the way
for those of us who fallen prey
when apathy has chosen to stay
and is worse than it was yesterday!
