When The Lights Go Out: 5 Poems

Homework assignment for the human race:
Put your best foot forward and live with grace
by going up to someone you don't know.
They're only a stranger until you say hello!

---

Immaturity has survived the day
and is not about to go away
when human nature cannot betray
our behavioral patterns of child's play!

---

The star is not lit on the top for me.
Life is now just a distant memory
and what she didn't live to see
was her present under our Christmas tree!

---

This hell on earth was rather obscene
as a new found message haunted my answering machine
with a familiar voice and its nasal sound
of a woman I buried six feet underground!

---

With the car sinking into the river bed
it was quickly abandoned as the driver fled
and the mystery solved but it was too late.
The body in the trunk belonged to old Mrs. Tate!

I can see clearly now...

The lights went out and in the dark I see the light,I see beyond and your homework assignment Mr Croc Croc is to be strong and wait a bit till light is back and your star shines again.
