These Choices Made Are A Blessing Or A Curse: 5 Poems
10 December, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
Jesus agreed to sit down and talk
but CNN grimaced and appeared to balk
as paranoia elected sensationalism of voice.
Bin Laden would have to be their number one choice!
---
It's certainly not safe to make a bet.
Harmony is having trouble getting set
by negotiating with wisdom in order to let
a truce occur between forgive and forget!
---
The monologue of nihilism set the chilling tone
in which humanity often seems to be prone
but through dogged perseverance we can cope
when our spirit of goodness pledges hope!
---
The color of thinking added a hue
with the shade of seeing something new
as you run towards me and beguile.
You're a rainbow personified in a smile!
---
In the silent breeze they always keep time.
The wind-chimes dance to a natural rhyme
and such harmonious bliss is so sublime
as I commit this heinous crime!
