Two Roads
20 December, 2009

Two roads stretch out before us all,
One truth, the other lie.
The truth has paved a narrow path,
The road of lies is wide.

But lies are only a veneer,
Insincere delusions.
For such a path is built upon,
Meaningless illusions.

While truth is unimpeachable,
Steadfast and resolute,
It is a fundamental force,
The truth is absolute.

For at the end of every road,
And all earthly campaigns,
The path of lies will disappear,
And only truth remains.

It shall define the character
Of every voice it's heard,
The virtues and duplicity,
In every spoken word.

Yet the truth need not pass judgment,
When all is said and done.
Though all must face what they have been,
A fate we can't outrun.

For when the lies all fade away,
What will be left of thee?
When truth exposes who you are,
What will your kindred see?

And if you have become the lie,
Will you not fade as well;
Into the weeping darkness of
Your own personal hell?

Two roads stretch out before us all,
One truth, the other lie.
The truth has paved a narrow path,
The road of lies is wide.

I take the road where.....

I take the road where Mr. Spencer writes because I want to learn and become a better person!
And I mean that SINCERELY!!!!

The road less traveled.

This reminds me of the Road Less Traveled. I love that you always have a message that people can easily understand.
