Amelia, Adolf, The Knack, The Edge And The Hunch: 5 Poems
1 March, 2010
Author: Colin Stewart
This direction in which you choose to take
is the fine line between make or break
and when it comes down to the crunch
you're in the moment of having that hunch!
------
Some of us struggle to get it right
and are destined to pursue this eternal plight.
So is it just mojo or a plan of attack
with the secret of those who have the knack!
------
As you strive to succeed and get ahead
there is a moment you've come to dread
when trying to compete and honor that pledge
"please let it be me who has the edge!"
------
Beyond the darkness of this cloud
is an unfinished chapter in a shroud
perpetuated by the mystery of her death
with Amelia Earhart's final breath.
------
Judas wouldn't take the blame.
He left Adolf with the claim
that Attila could never be the same
if the telephone book required his name!

Witch of Oz (121.220.13.39) -- Monday, March 1 2010, 08:13 am I have a hunch that you have the knack for great poetry. You keep us thinking and you have a clear plan of attack in describing the human condition. Well done! |
