As I hold the night upon my shoulder
I wonder how might a year be over
I hear you say
'My sweet, my loving dear
It's never me who leaves you here
I am with you while you're on your way
With you each and every day'
And just as it always had in the past
The thought of you fades my fears at last
My Nan could always see me through
Held me up and kept me true
It's been a tough year
And I don't like change
Not hearing your voice still seems so strange
I feel you here in other ways
Still a part of everyday
The holidays are coming fast
Your favorite time of year at last
I'll be sure, when it snows good
To make an angel like you would
Do when you see it from your place above
Know it was made for you
