When My Time Is Up
Author: Mark Spencer
When my time is up, do not weep.
I値l be wide awake, not asleep.
I値l see things I couldn't before.
To the empyrean heights I値l soar.
And though I will miss those I love,
I値l watch over them from above.
And I値l be there through thick and thin,
Until we池e together again.
When my time is up, I値l be free,
To follow a new destiny.
Unburdened by earthly restraints,
I値l walk with the angels and saints.
Don稚 look at the flesh that I've shed.
My spirit won稚 rest with the dead.
This body is something I wore.
But that isn't me anymore.
The flesh will find rest in the sod,
As the spirit sings praises to God.
And I will drink from a new cup,
On the day when my time is up.
