Real Pain

Real pain is in a single tear, felt within your heart,
real pain is from the emotions you've felt from the very start.
Not a sob you throw out to get someone's attention,
but the tear that travels down your cheek without your intention.
You feel this pain, it isn't always aware,
even if it doesn't show, you always know it's there.
real pain when something that you love is ripped way from you,
real pain when someone thinks you're lieing but you know you're true.
This pain we feel, when it seems like everything is wrong,
it seems bad now, but in the end, it always makes us strong.
A single tear caught up in time, as if it were nothing special
but in your heart, it feels as if nothing will get better.
Real pain falls at your feet mixed within your tears,
real pain when you've realized you're living your biggest fears.
Real pain when you sit and feel so helpless,
real pain when you can't sleep, you feel so restless.
Real pain is in that single tear, that slips from your heart,
real pain is the emotions you feel from the very start...
