Walking In The Shadow

Living in the shadow of a heart long gone
I think of all the wasted time it took to learn
That you don't have to remain in the darkness of another
Leaving it behind, I now choose walking in the sunshine
I enjoy the brightness that was once missing.
Each day now, begins with a smile
