Lost In Pride

You are the light,
That hunts my night,
Keeps me awake,
Won’t let me rest.

Wanted to fly,
Yet there is no sky,
Ashes that still flake,
I mourn their silent quest.

with one last sigh,
I feel myself die,
Drown the forlorn lake,
Marked with Death’s dark crest.

Enough tears to cry,
Lack the strength to try,
I feel my heart ache,
Pain my real test.

And around it goes,
Around it comes,
It’s my time to suffer,
Ha! At the end I still win.

Robert Frost

Enjoyed reading your poem about reflection! In a way, this rhyming reminds me of the late poet, Robert Frost! His poems were good and vivid! Lady Eryemil, I hope you aren't really taking death into consideration.

O_o

I've read some of his work, I like very much actually.
This poem is more about triumph and rebirth than it is about death, even though it does mention myself dying it has a deeper meaning. It's pretty funny that I was getting on some kids case about his poem because it was one of those " I shall kill myself because I want attention" poems, and now you come asking me if I was suicidal. I think I was a Little rough on him... I hate Karma. ^_^
