The Vows
23 February, 2003

I have searched to no avail,
For the words to tell this tale.

I have sought them in their nooks,
Within the pages of books.

But my quest has been denied,
For there, they did not hide.

To express for one so smitten,
Such words have not been written.

For my life did not begin
'Til the day I breathed you in.

It was then that I feared death,
Should I ever loose that breath.

I became a mortal man.
On that day, my life began.

Now on this you can depend
You are my lover and my friend,

From here we walk together,
Through sun and stormy weather.

And when we are gray and old
Our story will still be told.

While the angels up above
Shall sing songs about our love.

As we enter through their gates,
'Twill be Heaven that awaits.

And there, it will start anew,
My eternity with you.

We'll walk hand in hand with God,
Upon heaven's esplanade.

That's the future that I vow,
If God should so endow.

'Tis a love forever true
That, this day, I pledge to you

Who could ask for more

Mark,
I have noticed in all of your effortsd, you never have gone, just half-way. I suppose,if you did, you would only get half back, in return.

Thanks,
Martin
