Venting Depression

You'll never see the anger
or the clenched fists
You'll never see the danger
or the cuts across my wrists

You'll never see the lonliness
that pours out in my eyes at night
You'll never see the lack of bliss
Because I make you think I'm alright

You'll never hear me balling
or see me throwing one of my fits
but in reality I'm falling
and I'm about to call it quits

You'll never see the pain
that I feel ever single day
You'll never think of me as insane
because what I think is not what I say

Nice one Meg!

Loved it! It's so cool the way you came up with this one. It's so true, so cool about how some people actually do this. Nice work!~Enchantress~

The very truth

Megan - I feel this every single day that I choose to continue breathing. Too afraid to tell as I'm too afraid of the reaction I'll receive. I wear the masks well just as you stated so eloquently "...because what I think is not what I say" Fom the first word of your poem to the very last word is my life - day in - day out. Poetic reality!
