No More Tears In Heaven by Mark Spencer

A tear fell in Heaven,
Every time you felt alone.
And each time you cried a tear,
Another fell upon God’s throne.

Life wasn’t always kind,
In your pursuit of love.
And when you didn’t find it,
Another tear fell above.

Then you came into our lives,
And finally found your way.
We all fell in love with you,
You brought sunshine to our day.

You had such an innocence,
It was so much like a child.
You brought joy to our lives,
With the jolly way you smiled.

But your time with us was brief,
In a moment you were gone.
And it is a darker day
That greets us with the dawn.

For God has called you home,
Your labors here are through.
And someday we may learn,
To go on without you.

But we’ll miss you dear friend,
Your great girth and bouncy sway.
We will keep you in our hearts,
Till we meet again one day.

Now tears fall here on Earth,
For sorrow is our leaven.
But now we know there will be
No more tears in Heaven.

This is dedicated to Thomas Roy Watkins AKA Suicide Tom. He was known for his childlike innocence, that bouncy sway when he sang, his wonderful sense of humor and his undaunted courage. The name Suicide Tom was given to him by me. He loved karaoke, and allowed the audience to pick the
songs he sang. This is called suicide karaoke, thus the name Suicide Tom. He was born on April 6th 1959 and passed on March 31st 2004, one week shy of his 45th birthday. He was the best person I have ever known, and I am proud to have called him my friend. Rest in peace my friend, I'll see you again someday, on the other side.

Speechless
i cant say that i believe in God, or that your friend is looking down on you. but what i can say is that i am very sorry for your lost and i know that if your friend Tom was here he was love this poem as much as I do. And i know that he is proud of you, as so am I. I hope u the best of life. remember.. live and love each and everyday!

This poem was very touching and heartfelt. You have a wonderful way with words and expressions. I'm so sorry for your loss, but I do believe in and God and I agree with Megan, he probably is looking down from heaven and smiling! God Bless! Great poem...
