Sketch Book Memory

Every choice ever made to move forward, is saved
Every memory shapes who I am today
All the mistakes that I'd take back
Giving all it takes, wherever the stakes are at
All of which makes up my track
My memory keeps playing back like a display of this and that
Which replays all the blame and mishaps
All the loss and gain of this game has me going insane
When I replay back through all the memories saved
Which have paved my way from yesterday to today
When will I be okay with the stains that I'm shaped in
I fold again today, I can't take it and cave in
And I mold into all the memories I'm shaped in
I hold close to today, hoping to fold time up this way
Because the future will be making a bold past of my ways
And I'm scared to be facing the time to come in my days
The mistakes of the past that I'm facing, makes me this way
To view past all the Kodak moments that I hold
I must know that this moments is the only one I can own
I mold the thought to memory where its etched into stone
In my sketch book of life, where my memory's made a home
Where I catch a glimpse of my future that I will someday own
