I Plead To Be Me

I know nothing of your lesson plans
Know nothing of your path for me
Know nothing of hidden lessons of life
That you may have planted for me to see
I'm scared to embrace in enjoyment and love
Scared to embrace in anything at all
I face the image above and wonder ....
If you'll catch me when I fall
Everything happens for a reason
The reason, seen only, as a lesson learned
Well when will I get what I've earned while seeing
My life get built up, then burned
Why wont you hold me high for a while
Let me be heard, let me be seen,
Listen to my words, my goals and my dreams
And make everything be, just what it seems
It feels like I've climbed to the sky's extremes
And there, holding me back, is you
Grabbing me with your lesson, your reach
And tearing all I've made, in two
Every time that I push to succeed
Every time that I feel like I've got just what I need
You're the one to hold me down and make me scream
You never make a sound, but always make me bleed
You're the one I've found, Always next to me
Pushing me to the ground, Watching me fall underneath
I don't want to live anymore, just to fall
I want to love life, and give everything, my all
I don't want my knife, I want time to stall
At the happiest moment until
I can understand myself and this all
But no such hope, no such light in sight
To find myself, I must fall, I must fight
Please, I crawl on my knees to ask
Please be gentle, I've had a lot in my past
Just to be okay, Is all that I ask
Just for a while, let this pain, be my last
