Unsteady

Heavy eyes
Fluttered mind
Steady lines
Of shuttered times
Shaky hands
Unreadable writing
Lately I'm not sure
Just what I'm writing
Sure of one thing
Unstable of the rest
Everything on the table
My mind writes the best
I don't need to think
I just know it's real
That everything I write
Is exactly how I feel
Nothing understood
Concepts not taken
Writing is what
Holds me from breaking
I'm so unsure
So unsteady
To face this life
Will I ever be ready?
Taking this time
To get stuff off my chest
But the words wont come out
I'm going to bed now to rest

I can relate...

I loved this poem. For some reason, it stood out more than any of the others I read. Perhaps it is because I can relate to it. My outlet in life is also writing, poetry and journals so I can understand when you say writing is what keeps you from breaking. Without a means to express ourselves through poetry, all emotions would be confusing and unsure. It's a way to sort out feelings and get them out as well. I thought you did an excellent way of expressing yours. Keep up the good work.
