Letting Go

The power of determining my own fate,
is something I never knew that I could do.
Now in a new place I sit and wait,
While figuring out just what will get me through.

You tell me that it's ME who will get me by,
Never thought about that, but I believe it's true.
All I have to do is convince myself to try
And believe in myself and people like you.

This week has brough so much change to my life;
New job, new house, it's like a hole new me.
I'm leaving the past behind, no more pain and strife
Finally on the road to find who I may want to be

So many new choices so much more to face
I've got to push the fear aside somehow
Learn to play with life, and win this race
I'm ready to move forward, ready for anything now.

It's so good to know that someone knows what I mean
about insecurity, fear, strife and the rest
Life may not be as hard as it may seem
When knowing theres other people taking the same lifes test.
