Night Prayer

Take away the bitterness
Let forgiveness fill my heart
Let's look on to tomorrows
Forgetting yesterdays bad start
Let me see the sunshine
Though hidden behind clouds
To remember with each raindrop
A flower's nourishment is found
May I hold my heart in hand
For all to easily see
To show them I am human
And that is all I will ever be
Let me put behind me
All the past that ever was
To allow me to move forward
And fill my heart with love
