Ghosts
10 June, 2002
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)

Are the voices in the night
Only in my head
Or are they ghosts from the past
With something left unsaid

Are they triggered by the loneliness
Or were they always there
Stuck in eternal playback
Not simply for the scare

If I try to listen
I know I will not hear
They're hiding in the corners
And playing on my fears

No matter where they come from
From them I do not run
I'll listen in the darkness
Until my days are done

Hiding

Does anyone really find the ability to truly stop hiding? Do we not all have ghosts in the corners we choose not to search for?
