Songbird's Reverie

No, don’t go!
Don’t take away the music,
Dance with me again,
Whirl and twirl and join my parade,
My caged bird,
Sing one last song and then die in my arms,
I hear the melody,
It throbs with life,
Slave to the beat of my jealous heart.

You are mine!
I own your voice, your eyes are mine,
Your body is my paradise,
Anger turns to dust,
Ashes turn to you,
And in the moonlit shore,
They mourn your loss.

Run into the river,
Drown in the memory of my loving,
Choked by the hands,
That now long to hold you.

The clock marks ‘time to leave’,
No time to cry yesterday’s tears,
And while we embrace one last time,
I feel the cold steel tear my dreams.

^_^

Far from it actually, I'm a melancholic person at heart, at this moment my life is going well, I was just remembering some of my past.
