I'm Not That Girl
He looks into my eyes,
my heart skips a beat.
It makes me wonder what lies
his smile is telling me.
He could hold me in his arms,
tell me that he loves me.
We could be more than we are,
oh, how happy that would make me!
He could be the one,
to which I give my heart.
my searching would be done,
I would love to play that part.
How I wish he was
that part of my world.
He could be that boy,
But Iím not that girl.
Right now weíre just friends,
and thatís ok with me.
I donít want our friendship to end,
I just know thereís more we could be,
Heís holding out for something beautiful,
something out of this world.
He could be that boy, I know.
But, Iím not that girl.
Maybe he feels the same,
he just doesnít let me know.
I donít want to play that game,
he should let his feelings show.
I want to tell him how I feel,
tell him heís my world.
Wishing he could be that boyÖ
Knowing that Iím not that girl.
