A smile on my face
a lump in my throat
another shot to chase
another great conversation to quote

Another empty round
On this empty empty night
All the vodka i've just downed
will make this seem alright

Just another weekend
they are all the same
Where we come together to depend
On substances we use without shame

Yeah just another empty party
and I'm just another drunken teenage girl
And why should you feel sorry
when the alcohol takes the blame you should feel

------- Author's Notes -------

I'm wrapped up in this stupid life style. Can I blame it on being a senior ? :-X

Megan

very good poem...alcohol can take away a lot of your youth...so be careful...but your poem is very well written and to the point...thanks for sharing...
