Just A Shower

Look up see that big black cloud
How it's laden with misery
I see it clearly within my view
It's searching just for me

It's been there for a while now
I see it every day
I try to run for cover
Get out of its sad way

Once in a while it gets me
It rains down on me and gloats
But I have a surprise today
For I am ready with my coats

I have shelter with me now
I will run for shade
You won't drench me in your pain
My plans already made

I am armed with an umbrella
It comes in many sizes
I have lots of protection
Safe places and disguises

For now I've chased the darkness
Today I'm dry of pain
So rain on someone else's life
You won't wet me again

I'm laughing and I'm smiling
I am sober and I'm sane
I'm free from your delivery
I've escaped your acid rain

For me there is just sunshine
It's taken me a while
I've shaken of your dampness
God it's good to smile

I'm on a road that's good for me
So misery keep spitting
Im laughing because Im dodging you
It isn't me your hitting

Someone finally heard me
They pulled me in to cry
So now I can get really soaked
I have somewhere I can dry
