My Friend Lita
25 March, 2005

It’s been several years since that terrible day
When you sadly passed away
Leaving me all by myself.

For the first time in my life
I truly know what being lonely is.

When I concentrate hard enough on the wind
I can hear your voice.

When I close my eyes
Sweet god I can almost see you again.

But you are gone
No longer here with me
I’m all alone.

I’m in a dream
With no end
And no way out.

I pray that I will see you again
In the spring
Or at winters end
Any time will be good
To see you once again.

All I have to do is call out your name
And I can feel you here with me.

You’re in my dreams
They make me feel such joy
Almost as if you were still alive.

Every time I think of you
I start to cry
For the pain of your absence is too much.

Why did you have to go?
And leave me so alone.

Can you hear my prayers?
When I’m in so many tears.

I’m so very lost
Now that you’re away
I pray to god that we’ll see each other again some day.

You were my only friend
The only one who seemed to care.

I know that I should move on
But part of me just can’t let go.

I feel that we shall see each other again
I will never forget you
The only true friend I ever had.

Every day that passes by
It gets harder to believe that you’re gone
And that I’m all alone.

I do not know where to go from here
There are too many places to choose
I may never know which one is the best for me.

So until I see you gain some day
I can try to say goodbye my beast friend
And that you will always be in my heart.
