Will You See Me Now?

I was so pretty, my hair long and white
I smiled a lot, to attract your sight
I played around you, I’m not sure how
Tell me, can you see me, can you see me now?

I talked your ears off, I sang you a song
Hoping you would notice, it won’t be long
I drew you pictures, I’m not sure how
Tell me, can you see me, can you see me now?

I went bad and just misbehaved
I bought booze, with the money I’d saved
I phoned you drunk, I'm not sure how
Tell me, can you see me, can you see me now?

I took some pills, to ease my pain
To you I was simply, a horrible stain
I tried to win you, I’m not sure how
Tell me, can you see me, can you see me now?

I shaped my life, I turned it around
I lifted my body, up from the ground
I’ll make you love me, I’m not sure how
Tell me, can you see me, can you see me now?

Now I am older, lessons I've learnt
Children of my own, money I’ve earned
I’m doing well, I’m not sure how
Tell me, can you see me, can you see me now?

All the things I do are to make you see
My payment expected, you loving me
My finale is coming, I’m not sure how
Will you see me, will you see me now?
