Iím Just Me
Author: Mark Spencer

I can tell you what I do,
I can tell you how I feel,
I can share my perspectives,
On the things I think are real.

But actions donít define me,
Nor do goals which I aspire.
Such dreams are not distinctions,
Iím not measured by desire.

If I say what I believe,
Would you know the real me?
If I shared such convictions,
Would that really make you see?

You canít define your essence,
Using words like an or a.
Indefinite articles
Havenít anything to say.

Who you are canít be described
By what you think, say or do.
Your soul has no need of masks,
Itís the purest part of you.

I am greater than my parts,
Iím more than my works could be.
If you ask me who I am,
I will tell you Iím just me.

Nobody else can clone whom we are.

Mark , i have become soooo drawn in to the words you share, your written words remind me of a quote "We must not only give what we have, We must give what we are" . and it shows in yours.truely inspirin'.
